HIS DEATH MY REGRET, MOTIVATOR TO SAVE LIFE
It was a bad day when I heard he passed away, the journey was over. The silent killer called Hypertension cut it short but it was too late to stop him from dying.
It could be you,
Your brother
Your sister
Your cousin
Your course mate
Your colleague
I mean your guy
It could be anybody.
A cool day at around 1 am I was lying down on the couch in my office when I heard a bang on the door of the clinic, with a shout Dr!!!!!.
At the door was an elderly woman with his son groaning in pain,
the young guy got the quickest medical attention with a
`relief.
He was later diagnosed of Appendicitis ( an inflammation of the organ appendix ) with high blood pressure.
High blood pressure the mother exclaimed! how come she questioned ? we did our best to restore his health and relief his discomfort.
He was better but his condition warrant an expert review hence we referred him .
At the general hospital, the Doctor saw him at the outpatient,
series of investigation done and he was allowed home the same day. Another referral was imminent, now to a tertiary health institution for expert management. Note he was not admitted any of other institution since I saw him.
`
Two months later I received a distress call from the mother with the history of sudden collapse.
We received him conscious with severe chest pain lo and behold the blood pressure was on very high.
We did all in our capacity to improve his condition and referred him.
Breaking news……….. Gone so soon, his departure announced a few days later.
MY REGRET````````````1
We proposed to stage a free medical check up in that area some months ago but it does not materialized.
How I wish we spot him earlier may be he would have survive it.
ADIEU… MY PATIENT
His scenario was a motivator towards the present campaign and by God grace, we will not relent.
